A blog twenty years in waiting

It is a bit ironic, I think, that I started out as a computer programmer and website developer and yet it has taken me twenty-and-a-half years to start my first blog. Okay, you say there was no World Wide Web in 1989 (so you might think) but you could do a lot of sharing information with your 300 baud modem back in the day!

I wanted to at least post this first message so as to have something visible. I am, however, running out the door to go grab a beer on this wonderfully hot Los Angeles day. I will be back to post about my experiences relocating to Los Angeles and the types of jobs and people I've met along the way.

I also have a ton of photos and video clips I can finally add to my site. Funny thing is I'm not a fan of updating my own website, so hopefully b2evolution will make the process much, much easier!

I am going to begin this blog from the beginning, which means that I will be back-tracking the past few months. Hopefully, with diligence, I will catch up with the present so you can track my continued efforts and progress. As with any story, I--the main character--have hopes and dreams that one day I will be directing feature films (and not out of my garage, which I don't even have a garage right now anyway, so...). This is, by no means, a unique story. The challenges that face the main character of this particular story is the very fact that competition is fierce. Hopefully I can tell my story in a way that you will find interesting.

I may revamp the layout of this blog as I go along, however I have created several blogs for my activities to keep this somewhat organized. Film Journey will detail my continued efforts. Film links is where I will post useful links to websites I dig up on my journey. Images is where I will post snapshots, as I am able to snap them, while on set or putzing around town if I think it is cool enough to post. Projects is where I will go into the details I can reveal about my projects.

Welcome!

Original post blogged on b2evolution.
